You will know when to have it done once the grout starts looking dull and discoloured even after a proper cleaning.

What can I do to keep my grout looking new?

To keep your tiles and grout looking new, Tile Cleaners® recommend sealing your grout lines with our recommended proven water based impregnating grout sealer, Deepshield™ Penetrating Grout Sealer. We also always recommend cleaning each week with a damp microfibre cloth and a mild detergent to remove any dirt or grime from the tiled surface. Any strong detergents( strong acid or alkali) may affect the sealer, mild detergents and pH neutral substances are strongly recommended.

How do I know when my limestone tiles need restoration?

You will know it's time to have your limestone floors professionally restored once they begin to appear dull or "matte" even after you have given them an efficient regular clean. If you notice that your limestone tiles are staining easily, it's a good indication that your previous sealer is wearing off and your limestone floors will need to be resealed immediately to prevent permanent staining.

This also depends on wether the limestone tiles have been sealed previously or not. Some stains might penetrate the natural stone and settle in below the surface and can be hard to clean out. It is important to have us strip, clean and seal your limestone floor so in the future nothing will be able to stain your limestone floors.

How will you charge me for cleaning my limestone tiles?

Tile Cleaners® charge per square meter for each separate room. There is a price list on the Tile Cleaners® website for you to review. Before we begin our work we will measure each room individually, confirm the work to be carried out as well as confirm all costs with you.

How do I measure the size of the limestone area?

We recommend that you measure each room separately. They way to measure is the width * length. For example a room that is 3 meters long and 2 meters wide is 3 * 2 = 6m2 in total.

Will you help me move my furniture?

Tile Cleaners® technicians can help to move items that one person could be expected to move such as furniture with wheels, light furniture, tables and chairs, however as Tile Cleaners® insurance covers our restoration services, we will not be held liable for any damage caused to furniture or property you request our technicians to move.

What should I do to prepare for the limestone floors cleaning?

Move all furniture and items up off the floor so it is ready for us to clean when we arrive.

How often should I seal my limestone floors?

It depends on the type of sealer used and the amount of foot traffic the limestone tiles are being exposed to. Australia's Deepshield™ range of deep impregnating water based sealer's, offer long term benefits with Deepshield™ Gold lasting up to 15 years. Topical sealer's have a life expectancy of around 3 years. If you have a high amount of foot traffic or perhaps severe weather conditions(for outdoor tiles), you may experience a shorter lifetime. Sealing your limestone tiles can also depend on the tiles condition. Once they start showing patchy areas and are staining easily then you should have them resealed. Which process can I expect when you arrive to reseal my limestone floors?
